Life is way too SHORT to spend another day AT WAR with yourself

Do you sometimes feel like you’re at war with your hair? Yeah me too! Sometimes dealing with natural hair can feel like a real struggle that only you seem to understand. I honestly felt this way for a very long time that’s why I created GIRL vs NATURE back in 2015 when I lived in a little village in Germany called Littfeld. Here, I wrote dramatic stories about my natural hair journey. How my hair was completely damaged as a result of excessive chemical treatments, terrible hair care habits and my impeccable talent for overly stressing about everything! How I took things one step further and dared locs and many other stories. And fast forward to today, I am now building GIRL vs NATURE as a brand to inspire other women with natural hair.

Your natural journey doesn’t have to be a struggle.

There are many controversies surrounding natural hair and I know how hard it can be to deal with all that negative energy especially when you are still trying to figure out how to embrace your natural hair texture. I believe that our relationship with our hair should be a healthy one. Not opposed to nature but working together with it. Not defined by what others think but rather the love that we have for our hair.

My hope is that through reading a GIRL vs NATURE post, or wearing a GIRL vs NATURE t-shirt that many young black women who may be struggling on their own natural hair journey realise that they are not alone. That there is someone else out there just like them who totally understands exactly what they are feeling. But more importantly, my hope is that GIRL vs NATURE connects more women with natural hair together, empowering them to transform the world, one girl at a time.
